Lawaetz Family Museum, St. Croix

The Carl and Marie Lawaetz Family Museum showcases the Danish legacy on St. Croix through the story of one family who farmed Estate Little LaGrange for three generations.

Its expansive grounds feature outstanding examples of native trees and other plantings. Contemporary Lawaetz family members still contribute to life on St. Croix. At this lovely museum, the Society preserves the lush gardens and authentically furnished, historic home of a prominent Danish-Crucian family. Through expertly guided tours, visitors learn about rural life ways and values during the first half of the twentieth century.
